The Cobalt Utility direction is defined by exact tokens, not vague adjectives. Those tokens are the contract every surface follows.

The palette

• Ground: #EDF0F4 slate
• Surface: #F6F8FA lighter slate
• Ink: #0E1420 near-black
• Accent: #1D4ED8 cobalt, the one pop of color

Type and shape

Headings ride in Space Grotesk, body in IBM Plex Sans, micro-labels in JetBrains Mono. Corners are zero-radius everywhere. Elevation comes from hairlines and value steps, never drop shadows.

Because the tokens are saved as the active design, a future request that restyles or rebuilds a page starts from this same contract.
